Y7 - Luxury Carbon Sailing Yachts

Kategori: Segelbåtar

Y7 - BEST IN CLASS

A displacement of about only 29 tons and 300 square meters of sail area, set this almost 22 meter long yacht in motion even in the lightest of winds. Her good ballast ratio keeps her very stable, so that a Y7 is extremely pleasant to sail. This luxury yacht was designed for family vacations as it can be operated with a very small crew or even alone. Easy handling combined with excellent performance and an interior completely tailored to the owner have made the Y7 a bestseller in the YYachts portfolio.

SAILING FASTER
A Y7 is much faster than a conventional yacht. Our goal is to experience sailing fun in the Mediterranean with light winds.

EASY HANDLING
All halyards, sheets and trimming lines run concealed to the steering positions - so the helmsman can operate the Y7 alone at any time.

PROVEN TECHNOLOGY
YYachts only uses components that have proven themselves hundreds of times. Days lost due to vulnerable technology are a no-go on this luxury carbon yacht.

LIGHT-WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION
By using carbon fiber and lightweight construction material in the interior, we achieve a high sail area/displacement ratio.

VARIABLE LAYOUT
Due to the modular construction, the layout can be adapted to the wishes of the owner. Among other things, you can decide with our designers which wooden surface you desire.

Y YACHTS
BY MICHAEL SCHMIDT YACHTBAU

The origin of YYachts by Michael Schmidt Yachtbau is one of the many success stories of its founder Michael Schmidt. He, himself a passionate regatta sailor and boat builder, set the key data: a yacht must be fast, light & easy to sail. The Y7 is the result of this philosophy and has lots of innovations on board. Have a look and get inspired!

The Y7 was created in collaboration with US designer Bill Tripp, considered one of the world‘s best naval architects. Our goal was to combine comfortable sailing with competitive sailing performance, even on the regatta course.

In conditions where other yachts still use their engines, the sails are already set on the Y7.
The displacement of less than 29 tons has been reached by using carbon composite and light- weight materials. This makes the yacht move quickly even in lightest winds.

The furling system, anchor and helm station are elegantly integrated into the exterior
look created by Bill Tripp. Twin engines and a bow thruster allow easy maneuvering, even in tight marinas. The handling of the Y7 is surprisingly easy.

The dinghy up to 3.50 metres disappears in a tender garage and is moved with a lifting system integrated in the carbon boom. The dinghy garage is completely dry and is easily accessed from deck and contains all equip- ment and watertoys. YYachts uses synthetic teak on deck which is long lasting, light and eco friendly.

All halyards and sheets on the Y7 run hidden to the helmstation. The helmsman operates the Y7 himself – probably the only 70 footer on the market. As there is no backstay, the square headed mainsail has a better profile and more sail area.

The cockpit has a high variety of uses. On the portside there is a full size companionway into the crew quarters invisibly integrated in the aft cockpit settees.

You create your yacht together with our team, whether you prefer an open galley, the kitchen closed or an additional bar?
Our architect created the Y7 interior with a Scandinavian hygge factor.

CUSTOM DIVISION
Besides the production of YYachts, the yard has the skills for more: We are proud to have built the world‘s greenest research and expedition yacht, the 72 foot „Eugen Seibold“ for the Werner Siemens Foundation, doing worldwide marine research.

Actually we have under construction a further project, the TRIPP 90 designed and ordered by a North American client. May we build your yacht, too?
